St. Kilian Rectories

Project Description

Kluger Architects designed two rectories, each consisting of two floors, serving as both a home and a functional space for religious leaders.

The first rectory which is the Pastoral Priest Home, which features a living room, kitchen, dining room, prayer room with storage, pantry, and a powder room. Additionally, it has a pastor’s suite for the pastor to rest and attend to personal needs, complete with a bathroom and a closet, as well as a two-car garage. The second floor accommodates two Parochial Vicar suites, for assistant and visiting priests providing them with private living spaces, each with its own bathroom and spacious closet, a workout room, and a laundry room. Exterior patios and outdoor eating patio areas are included.

The second rectory, designated as the “Visitors & Retired Priest House,” also includes a two-car garage, an open-concept living and dining area, two suites with their respective closets and bathrooms, a pantry, two laundry rooms, and a visitors’ restroom on the ground floor. The second floor comprises three guest rooms, two closets, three bathrooms, and another laundry room.

The common areas provided between the homes allow fellowship and communal meals between the homes. These two rectories provide essential living and functional spaces to support clergy and visiting or retired priests, ensuring that they have all the necessary accommodations near their place of worship. Solar power is also included as part of Pope Francis’s “Laudat Si – Praise be to you” initiative.
