Day 3 Highlights from Last Friday’s The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Convention!

One of the highlights of the day was attending the International Religious Art and Architecture Awards Program & Reception. This was co-sponsored by Faith & Form, Partners for Sacred Places, and the AIA Interfaith Design Knowledge Community.

It was inspiring to be surrounded by designers and leaders who are shaping sacred spaces around the world. From small, intimate chapels to expansive campuses, the evening celebrated some of the most meaningful and beautifully executed religious architectural spaces, buildings, and arts, both nationally and internationally.

Luis Iniestra, alongside Father Jay-Ar, Oblates of the Virgin Mary (OMV) of St. Clement’s Shrine, was able to meet several of the award recipients. These conversations were filled with purpose and the importance of our work. Kluger Architects is proud to support AIA Interfaith Design Knowledge Community efforts and excited to play a bigger role moving forward.

Glad to be part of these conversations and committed to helping shape what sacred space means in today’s world.
