City of Bell

Kluger Architects was hired for the renovation of existing interior and exterior conditions where accessibility per ADA requirements were lacking. The spaces that required ADA verification were City Hall, County of Los Angeles Public Library – Bell Branch, the Bell Police Department, Veterans Memorial Park, and Ernest Debs Park. Three other facilities were originally included in the scope of work but were excluded due to funding.
All locations were measured and verified since existing drawings were not available. Once we were selected as the Architect of Record for these updates we had a 90 day time frame to develop drawings and have them approved and ready for bidding. Over this 90-day time frame we worked closely with officials from the City of Bell, County of Los Angeles and members of the CDBG.
We worked on the Schematic design, architectural design development and construction, documentation and bidding for the 6 various facilities within the City of Bell that needed to be brought up to California ADA and Title 24 Standards.
